The words of that song "when the going gets tough the tough get going" will have to be ringing in the ears of the jockeys when they tackle the big sprint on Sunday as the course could be like a bog come then. You will need to be able to get a handy position from the off as it is unlikely there will be anything coming with a wet sail on this surface come the end. It may well be best to be drawn near the rail as there are 21 runners in all and at this stage I would be sticking with my initial ew selection of Planet Five. Lady of the Desert takes her chance and she would appear to have the best chance of the home contingent and her trainer does not seem too bothered with the forecast going.
I would suggest having a look at the track in the races today and forming your own assessment from the times of the races as to how soft it really is, but the going stick currently appears to have it as heavy.
